A HOLISTIC MEDICAL APPROACH

Dr Bhagwat was attracted to cardiothoracic surgery (commonly known as heart or lung surgery) because it requires a “holistic” medical approach.

“The cardiothoracic region is both fascinating and absolutely vital to our overall health,” Dr Bhagwat explains.  “So as heart and lung specialists, we need to know about the entire human body and therefore many aspects of medicine.

Regardless of where you first meet him – in the emergency department or in his consulting rooms – Dr Bhagwat and his team’s aim remains the same: to provide the best surgical treatment option for each individual patient, and to help them recover as quickly as possible.
